A Call to My Blogging Friends, Publish an RSS Feed for Comments
posted January 25th, 2008 at 3:32 pm by chadUPDATE (1/26/08 - 4:08 pm (GMT-7): Look in yonder sidebar! Feed links for posts, site-wide comments, and comments on the current post!
Although email notifications of comments are useful, I'd rather monitor comments and replies to comments via RSS. If you can install a plugin, flip a switch, or just make your existing Commens RSS link more prominent, I'd be much obliged.
This request is somewhat hypocritical, as I do not currently offer a comment feed for this site. That will change soon.
Wordpress to Drupal migration, one way to do it
posted July 5th, 2007 at 11:02 pm by chad
After thinking about doing it for many months, I finally converted 2tbsp.com from Wordpress 2 to Drupal 5. I didn't make this move because of anything wrong with Wordpress. Wordpress worked great for the past few years and is an excellent application. The truth is that I am working with Drupal too much now to not use it to power 2tbsp.com.
My goal was to do the migration as quickly as possible with few additions or changes. With the migration now complete, I thought I'd share the basic process I went through.
Separation of work and family
posted July 14th, 2005 at 1:15 am by chadI've been blogging occasionally for a few years now. During this time I've mixed my thoughts about work with posts about my family, but no longer.
And the best blogging client is...
posted February 7th, 2005 at 9:00 am by chadI just finished poking around in the blogging client ecto and liked it so much that I purchased a license. It's interface is uncluttered, relatively intuitive, and the clincher was the price--just $17.95 vs. MarsEdit's price tag of $24.95. Those windows users reading this can consider Ecto as your blogging client too.
Another Step into the Blogsphere: Evaluation of MarsEdit
posted January 25th, 2005 at 2:38 pm by chadOkay, when I first started this blogging thing, I really only had a toe in the water. I don't post very often and have kept the posts to family-related announcements. Well, in an effort to add more useless stuff to the world-wide web I'm going to try using a couple of blog clients on my desktop in an effort to write more often. I know, it's not the tool, it's he who wields it.
