Famfamfam.com's Silk Icon Set Organized!

More and more web sites and applications are incorporating the beautiful Silk icon set created by Mark James. The Gallery project provides them as one of their iconpacks and the newly redesigned Dreamhost web hosting control panel also sports these spiffy icons. Since the icons are released under the Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 license, anyone can use them provided Mark receives proper credit.

I'm also beginning to use Silk icons for a few projects. I've organized them into categorical sub folders to make it easier to find specific icon types quickly. This has made my work a lot easier and I'm now able to find just the right icon out of set of 1000 icons.

The organized package of the 013 version of Silk is available for download here! Of course my categories may not make sense to some, but I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks for the heads up. The file has been restored.

DNS Still Down

I was looking for icons this evening, and I remembered the Silk icon set. I searched for "freely licensed icons" in Google and Silk came up first. famfamfam.com is still having DNS issues, I guess, so I found this site. Another thanks for you!

Thanks for putting these up

The site is down and I needed them for a new website we are doing. Thanks for saving me :)

I agree with the first

I agree with the first comment - your organized pack really helped! :)

Now to hope those DNS issues get fixed over at FamFamFam so I can redownload the other packs, too...

Thanks again!

Savour

The famfamfam site is down (DNS is failing for some reason)... You just saved my hiney! I couldn't find these anywhere else, and they are organised.

Sweet dude!

Happy to help :)
